Up The Rockets!

It’s not me thenr

At Least It s Not Me Then!

Well given the choice I m sure everyone would agree it s a tough one. The Wimbledon ballot has offered two tickets for the Ladies Final but you know you will miss a top home fixture against Edinburgh. Slightly swayed by the fact it was close to the wife s birthday I plumped for SW17 so whilst The Rockets were going down by an agonising point to the Monarchs I was amongst those quaffing Pyms at £6:75 a glass! And strawberries that came with a mortgage application form! Not strictly true I was actually drinking Lucozade Sport and eating sandwiches out of a Tupperware box. At least there was one crumb of comfort having been on a beach last time we lost at home in the Premier League it s definitely not me. I can believe from here on my presence is nothing but a positive influence. Unfortunately there are definite signs that after a cracking start our season is going downhill faster than a second hand vuvuzela salesman. Same old story injuries again. The lad Linus gets shaken up in Sweden and our version of Frank Spencer (Luke Bowen) breaks his arm but those aren t the only things that have spoiled our chances of world domination. I have the feeling at some point last weekend whilst I was watching Serena Williams the words Don t mention Robbie Kessler, I mentioned him once but I think I got away with it were used in the Rye House pits. The previous weekend he was the answer to all our problems two iffy performances at Kings Lynn and Sheffield later and he d surrendered quicker than the England back four. What was that all about, I haven t a clue but I know it s completely messed up our plans. The main reason for rushing Herr Kessler in was because Luke s average was imminently about to take a tumble now we re not exactly blessed with candidates to take his place. Well except one that is. Step forward Tyson Nelson a top name if ever there was one. The boy is 16 and if his appearance for the National League Cobras against Scunthorpe is anything to go by just what we ve been waiting for. It had been rumoured he d signed for Sheffield but it appears Uncle Len may have sneaked in while Mr Machin was watching the World Cup on the telly and got us a right little belter. Remains to be seen if he gets thrown head first into the Premier League but if we want to avoid another season in the Young Shield there s no time like the present!
